Hotshot report Sept 15 2018
Greetings from HotShot Charters. We have worked our way from Cairns to Cooktown to start our 2018 heavy tackle Giant black marlin season.
We have had Bill and Daveo on board helping us to load our bait freezer as they have also loaded several boxes of fish to take home.
While coming up thru Ribbon no.3 Daveo land this beautiful Blue Cod and Bill managed to land a nice size Coral Trout.
We fished along morning reef where the Spanish mackerel have been plentiful keeping the boys busy turning the handle.
We came thru no.5 with the wind starting to pick up and had a morning of scad fishing where the sharks have already come in and made it difficult getting fish to the boat.
We spent our last day out on no.7 where the wind really picked up making conditions not favourable to put the baits in for a marlin fish, so we spent the day heading towards Cooktown traveling along inshore.
HotShot will spend a day in Cooktown then head back out with Bill to do a bit more bait fishing.
